Wanna Parlay
Transforming Fantasy Sports into a simpler, more social and AI-powered experience.

Wanna Parlay is a Fantasy Sports platform for iOS and Android that combines competition, community and artificial intelligence to create a new way to play and interact with sports. As Senior Product Designer, I designed complex experiences spanning parlay creation, contests, leaderboards, social features and AI-powered tools, working closely with product and engineering teams.
Fantasy sports flows are dense and intimidating — building parlays, understanding odds, calculating payouts and navigating contests create friction that pushes new users away.
End-to-end redesign of the core flows, an AI Parlay Generator that builds combinations automatically, a social layer to drive engagement and a scalable Design System unifying the whole product.
Lobby Redesign Impact
FTD / Signup Conversion — Before vs After
The Lobby redesign increased user engagement by ~40% and first-deposit conversion by ~80%, with stable volume and before any media investment — after that, acquisition simply scaled an already validated product. FTD/signup conversion nearly doubled in the same window: from ~19% (pre) to ~35% (Feb 24 – Mar 10), peaking at 40.4% on Mar 3. This was validated through surveys and user interviews.

Impact
Designed critical end-to-end Parlay creation flows. Created the AI Parlay Generator, allowing combinations to be generated automatically through AI. Structured components and patterns for a scalable Design System. Designed social experiences to increase retention and engagement. Worked on features used daily by thousands of users. Actively participated in product, UX and strategy decisions.

AI Parlay Generator
I designed an AI-powered experience capable of generating parlays automatically. The challenge was to turn a complex flow into something intuitive, keeping transparency and trust during pick generation. My work: UX Research, flow definition, loading and feedback states, automatic generation interface, checkout and pick review, prototyping and handoff.

Main Event
Designed the experience of the platform's flagship contest. The goal was to increase the sense of competition through real-time leaderboards, prize visualization, winner / eliminated / active states, countdown timers and strategic CTAs.

Social System
Designed features to turn the app into a sports community — social feed, comments and replies, reactions, editorial content and user-to-user interactions.

Betting & Entry System
Redesigned complex flows for pick selection, odds, entry fee, payout calculation, checkout and empty / error states. The focus was reducing friction and making the experience more accessible to new users.

My Role
I acted in every step of the process: Product Discovery, UX Research, User Flows, Wireframes, UI Design, Interaction Design, Design System, high-fidelity prototyping, testing and iteration, engineering handoff, and direct collaboration with Product Managers and Developers.
Results
Contributed to turning Wanna Parlay into a simpler, more social and intelligent platform, designing experiences that bring together Fantasy Sports, Artificial Intelligence and competition at scale.
